Donation of books to library of Thirunelli tribal development project

To support the development of tribal library by Thirunelli Tribal Development, the department conducted a book collection campaign. As part of this effort, 150 books (used books donated by students of our college + new books bought from NBT) were collected and handed over to Sri. Saikrishna, Thirunelli Tribal Development project Coordinator.

Sri Saikrishna addressed the students and talked on Tribals of Wayanad, their life and issues concerned with school dropouts among tribal children on 14 th October 2019.

An invited talk on ‘Western Ghats, its diversity & effect of flood and landslides on diversity" led by Sri. Hamidali Vazhakkad (Coordinator, National Green Corps, MoEFCC, Govt of India & Energy Management Centre, Govt. of Kerala) was organised.

The students of Ist Semester B.Sc. Zoology conducted a poster exhibition on Biodiversity

which was inaugurated by Sri. Hamidali Vazhakkad.
